Holme School, A Fair Trade school partner with The Fair Traders Cooperative

Our members own and control the Society. We have two categories of membership; personal and corporate. Each category has the same rights and responsibilities and one vote irrespective of the number of shares held. Corporate members include suppliers both in the UK and abroad, schools, other co-operative societies, companies, NGO's and other organisations.

We now have nearly 500 members. We welcome any new members who support our aims and particularly those who can help us realise our vision by offering their time, expertise, contacts,etc.

You can join online or alternatively our Share Offer Document and application form can be downloaded here. Simply complete the form on page 8 and post this along with your cheque to The Treasurer, The Fair Traders Cooperative, 32/34 Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth, HD9 2JS.

The founder directors have established a fund to provide interest free loans to those developing country suppliers, schools, or other organisations who cannot afford the £20 membership. Please email info@thefairtraderscooperative.co.uk if you wish to take advantage of this.

Meetings

Members will be notified in good time by email/letter when meetings are to be scheduled.

Have your say

We hope members will contribute positively to the furtherance of the Society's aims. You can do this by volunteering, proposing ideas/ resolutions, voting, suggesting suppliers and in many other ways. Just email info@thefairtraderscooperative.co.uk if you wish to get in touch.
